Banana Time

by the Provident Woman | October 25th, 2009

At times my youngest has the most impatient tantrums. Who’s doesn’t? Every morning, and I mean every morning, he has to have a banana the moment he wakes up. He kicks and screams while he gets his diaper changed. The moment he gets his hands on a banana he is all smiles. Usually. But here is a morning in the eyes of my son. This was a morning to remember. He was so patient.

I’m waiting so patiently. Aren’t I a good boy!

I wonder how long they’ll make me wait for my banana. At least Dad has the news on.

Ah, ha! I have my banana.

Let’s see how big of a bite I can take.

This is sooooo good!

What? Why do you keep looking at me like that.

Seriously mom, put the camera away. I’m just eating a banana.

Hey son, you have a little on your bottom lip.

Oh oh oh! He’s sooo gorgeous – those big blue peepers are going to get all the girls when he’s older. I have a 2 year old who gives me the same look if I spend too much time blogging too!

Snapping these pictures, now, and preserving this memory will be priceless for him, later! Good job! Cutest subject!

I wish mine asked for a banana. Mine will ask for gummies or candy or something she would never get. She complains when I give her waffles or fruit or some totally mom approved healthy meal. Then she eats it anyway.

That picture of your son with his eyes closed is the best. You can tell he is thoroughly enjoying that banana.

A banana?! What? NoGummie Bears? No Jelly Bellies? No Fruit Loops? No Choco-whatever’s. No marshmellows? You’ve already done something right. He’s a handsome boy, too.

I stopped by to tell you that I know of a grocery store in Overland Park that is willing to stock your honey. Only a few jars at a time, but the owner is interested in “local” products. “View My Complete Profile,” click e-mail if you’d like to know more.

Wow what a cutie! Anything is worth it when it comes to a banana.
Am surprised that a child this young could be that patient.

My little man loves banana’s as well! We used to keep them on the lower shelf of the kitchen island. Then he discovered how to peel them. I think he ate 4 of them that day!
