Stop, Drop and Sleep

by the Provident Woman | November 6th, 2009

I told you over the weekend I was sick. Well, I know where I got it. A couple of days earlier my three little ones had some bug.

Only they had a 24 hour version with no throwing up and I had a 3 day version with throwing up. It’s almost not fair. But at least I didn’t have to clean up after anyone.

The only thing they did was…

 Sleep.

I had seen Dean dozing while playing and I asked him what was wrong. He ran off.

And I found him here asleep.

Now this one snuck up on me. She doesn’t take naps. She had no school that day and I thought she was feeling fine. So during nap time to keep her as calm and quiet as I could so the other kids could sleep I let her watch one of the little movie players. And guess what! She fell asleep too. That NEVER happens.

They all ended up with a fever for a day and then it was gone and they were back to their bouncing off the walls selves. So right now all of us are felling pretty darn good. (Knock on wood.)

Wow…you got off lucky, huh? How nice to have them all napping at the same time.

Ugh — never fun to have sickness sweeping the house. Good that it didn’t last long.

You know it is all over when nearly everyone else you live with gets sick. You can almost feel it coming after you! Terrible that you were sick for so long but good thing the little ones didn’t have it too bad. Those little kids and their resilience!
