Our Car Didn’t Want To Leave

by the Provident Woman | November 18th, 2009

Remember how much we enjoyed meeting Ree on Monday? Well, someone pouted about not getting the opportunity.

We got out to our car and it was dead. In all of the years we have had this trusty car it had never not started for us.

Talk about between a rock and a hard place. See that wall? In font of us was a concrete wall and on the other side of us was another vehicle. But you’re thinking “just push it back”. Well, right behind us was the entrance to the parking garage. Luckily it was late and the traffic in the Plaza was nonexistent.

Then April came to the rescue. Her number was even higher than ours so she was still there. But we had to wait for her to sit and chat with her friend Ree.

Look at how fun she is. She can make jump starting a car after midnight fun. I love April.

And look how dainty she can be closing the hood of her van. So elegant. So graceful.

My Jeep did that recently and it wouldn’t even start with a jump! I had to wonder how I ever made it to the store if it was that dead. Fortunately my mom came to my rescue and brought a new one for me. Mom’s (and graceful friends) are good like that!!

At least you guys didn’t let it get you down and ruin a wonderful evening.

You’re right though, April does look like she’s having way too much fun helping you out with the car. Friends like that help make rough moments become fond memories instead.

It was a fun night and I’m glad we had you guys there to talk to. Thanks for calling me elegant and graceful!!! Good thing you didn’t see me trip going in the building or the food wrapper I had stuck in my shoe earlier that night.
