Who ever thought up the big balls is my hero!!!

by the Provident Woman | August 28th, 2009

I know, I know, that just doesn’t sound right. Let me splain.

Have you ever watched the ultra funny show called Wipeout? Well, if you have you have seen the “big balls”-it is way too funny. I will never understand why we have to laugh when people get folded in half backwards while flying off of giant balls and falling into water. But nonetheless. I laugh my tail off.

ouch ha! ha! ha! giggle! snort!

It seems kind of mean to laugh, but these people have to know they will be the cause of many belly laughs when they sign up for the show. Now watch this and tell me you aren’t laughing.

Are you laughing? I know you are.

Come on. Don’t tell me I’m heartless, it’s funny. Really.

Now this one is really funny, but we in no way condone the comparison of hairy men and seals.

If you want some more laughing here is another featuring one of our favorite contestants, who seems to have a kissing problem. You’re thinking “there’s no kissing in Wipeout”. But you’re wrong.

What better show could you ask for. They even have a wall that punches people.

Oh, yeah. I forgot to splain the title. Well I recorded it. I knew my husband would need a good laugh when he got home from working overtime at work. So he gets home and we start to watch it. When they start showing the big balls (I’m sorry to keep saying that over and over, but that is what they call them, honest) my husband, through his laughing, says “who ever thought up the big balls is my hero!” My new favorite quote of all times. Thanks Honey!

My husband LOVES this show. Do not try to change the channel because ugly things will happen. I personally don’t find the show as funny but LOVE to WATCH MY HUSBAND watching the show. He laughs so hard and it is a joy to watch.

That show is a TOTAL hoot! There was an even better one that used to come on Spike TV called MXC (Most Extreme Challenge) … THAT was a riot.

Ah Wipeout. When I watch it I think, “It is loathsome yet I cannot look away.” I am sorry but that is just the funniest show.

There’s another show on right after it called Crash Course. You should see it, too. They set up a crazy obstacle course that a team of two have to drive through. Things explode, cars can fall on you, and there’s tons of spin-outs. Best of all is watching the couples interact while they’re maneuvering these obstacles. (The husband/wife team this week was hilarious! She kept telling him before every course to shut up and not talk to her, then she would proceed to talk through the entire event!)

I tried to e-mail you via your “contact” page, but my mail was sent back immediately, undeliverable.

    Mary,
Thank you for stopping by my blog sometime today and for your compliment to Nicholas’ photo. I spent quite a bit of time at your blog, especially about bees. You and your husband apparently have quite a love for them—and I don’t blame you. Your honey looks beautiful. Nice and clear. Wildflowers?

I started to watch the YouTube, but after a few slides got all emotional and stopped. I’ll watch it again, though. You see, I grew up in Arizona where my father was a beekeeper. We three boy helped every summer with extracting—and everything else. You’re right, by the way: bees do a great job helping with the clean up.

Anyway, I just published my memoirs about growing up in my home town. One of the dominant points in the book is our bees. Bees. Bees. Bees. And what a great impact they had on our family, friends, neighbors and community.

Now I live in Kansas. I would dearly love some delicious honey. Clear and golden, like our bees used to produce. Is there a place in the Overland Park area where I can buy some of yours? Do you live close enough that will be worth the drive to go get it directly from you. How? How? How? I’d sure like to try some.

Oh, hint: My dad also did demonstrations, but in grade schools. He built a clear plastic or acrylic hive (one super) and rigged it up so he could carry it; so the bees could breathe and work; and so the kids could watch the bees at work. Pretty neat. I know that it was always well-received. Your husband might consider that idea.

I’ll visit your blog frequently—I’ve already bookmarked it. I’d appreciate a touch-back if you will.

I think I’d have to agree with your husband. Especially after a rough day, that show and those balls will cheer me up regardless. :-)

Hahaha! I discovered that show at my parent’s house…

I watched the one with the kissaholic Ariel. I got a kick out of that and her shout out to her dad. Just kidding DAD!
